Traditional Shaolin Long Fist intermediate sequences are an excellent way to train speed, strength, and sense of enemy. Taught and demonstrated by Nicholas C. Yang, each form is divided into sections to help you learn gradually and proficiently. These four traditional sequences include numerous martial applications and are excellent Shaolin forms for tournament competition.

Yi Lu Mai Fu and Er Lu Mai Fu, are The First and Second Ways of Ambush. These powerful sequences teach clever and subtle methods for defense and attack. Each contains strategies and techniques for escaping and circling around your opponent. Shi Zhi Tang, Cross Way Sequence, includes new techniques that build upon earlier Long Fist sequences, adding kicks, side door attacks, and forceful strikes.

Xiao Hu Yan, Roaring Tiger Fist, is a challenging and exciting sequence that combines techniques from Long Fist and Northern Praying Mantis. Xiao Hu Yan emphasizes low stances, powerful kicks, leg sweeps, trapping, and striking.

Dr. Yang, Jwing-Ming makes a special cameo appearance to discuss the history of each of these traditional Long Fist sequence.

Nicholas holds a B.S. & M.S. in Computer Science from Brown University, and a B.A.S. in Computer Animation & Visual Effects from Ex pression College for Digital Arts. He is the principal Shaolin instructor at YMAA Boston, and President of YMAA International (Yang's Martial Arts Association).
